No Mow May Registration

The City of Pine City is excited to announce its second year of participation in No Mow May, an environmental initiative that encourages residents to pause lawn mowing during the month of May to support pollinators and strengthen local ecosystems. In 2025, Pine City’s first year joining the program, 14 residents registered to participate. Their efforts helped create natural habitat and food sources for bees, butterflies, and other essential pollinating insects. By allowing lawns to grow freely, participants contributed to increased biodiversity and raised awareness about the benefits of more sustainable lawn practices. Building on last year’s success, Pine City invites even more residents to join in 2026. No Mow May offers a simple but powerful way to support pollinator populations and promote a healthier, more resilient environment.
Registration Information:
Residents must register between April 1 and April 30 to participate.
No late applications will be accepted.
The City looks forward to continuing this community-driven effort and expanding its environmental impact in year two.
