City Council

The City Council is the legislative body that governs the City. The Council sets the annual budget, determines the capital improvement program, considers ordinances (new laws for the City), and approves a variety of zoning requests such as new developments, conditional use permits, and variances.
 
The City Council meets the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm and the third Thursday at 10:00 am. A citizen can request to be on the Council agenda by completing the "Resident's Request to be put on the Council Agenda Form" which is below.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING – WORK SESSION
 
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2021 AT 12:30PM
 
There will be a Special City Council Meeting in the City Council Chambers (315 Main St. S.) to give the members of the City Council and City Staff the opportunity to engage in an end of the year work session on Friday, December 10, 2021 starting at 12:30pm. Council members along with City Staff will be present.
