Planning & Zoning

The City of Pine City's Municipal Development Ordinance divides the City into use districts and establishes regulations in regard to location, erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration and use of structures and land. Any enforcement, administration and amendment to the zoning code will be accomplished with consideration and recommendations contained within the City's Comprehensive Plan (below).
 
The Planning Commission is charged with hearing and making recommendations to the City Council on applications for land use review, conditional use permits, changes or expansions of nonconforming use, variances, subdivisions, rezoning requests, street and alley vacations, public land sales, municipal development code text amendments and amendments to the Comprehensive Plan (below).
 
The City reviews zoning permit applications (below) for accessory structures (sheds) under 200 sq. ft., driveways, sidewalks, fences under 7ft, retaining walls, pools and spas.
