West Side Park & Beach
Located at 1305 6th Ave SW
West Side Park offers a swimming beach open to the public during the summer months. The beach is the best place to spend those hot summer days, with lifeguards on duty daily and public indoor restrooms. Red Cross swimming lessons are offered throughout the summer at a minimal cost. Students can register for lessons starting in late May at Pine City's Public Schools "Field Day" and then at the City Hall offices. There are many other things to do at West Side Park; two playground areas, a skateboard park, beach volleyball, basket ball court, picnic shelters and grilling facilities. Paddleboats can be used free of charge and lifejackets are provided. The fishing pier is a local favorite of all ages. Bring your horseshoes, the park has eight pits available for the public and there is a league each Monday evening in the summer months. In 2019 the City purchased two Paddle Boards for anyone to use - just as long as you can pass the Lifeguard's Swim Test!
