Seeking Volunteers for Lead & Copper Testing

The City recently tested 40 homes in Pine City for lead and copper. Results showed elevated copper levels in 7 homes. Lead was not found in the City’s water supply; copper is likely present in service lines from the street or inside the home’s plumbing.
This does not affect the City water system, but we want to better understand potential risks. The City of Pine City is seeking volunteers to periodically provide water samples for lead and copper testing. The more homes we test, the better our knowledge for the future.
